          BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH
          Delisle attended the Institute of the Applied Arts, Montréal from 1969-1973.(3) After college she had an apprenticeship with Enid LeGros. She was on the Gaspé Peninsula (gaspé means ‘edge of the world’) this is exactly how she felt.

          Eventually, she moved on to a studio with some friends because of the isolation and hard winters where too much to take.

          Here in the new studio she accumulated some debt not profiting enough from her work to sustain her lifestyle. She joined some male friends going to work as lumberjacks. (Delisle was not of great stature, yet she endured.)
