Stephen "Steve" Gary Wozniak (born August 11, 1950) also known by his nickname "WOZ" is an American electrical engineer, computer programmer, and philanthropist.

Early life
[change | change source]Steve Wozniak was born on August 11, 1950 in San Jose, California.[3] He is the son of Jerry Wozniak and Margaret Kern.[4] His father was an engineer at Lockheed Martin.[3] Wozniak is of Polish, German, English and Irish ancestry.[4] The family emigrated to the United States.[5][6] He grew up with a strong interest in electronics.
